Welcome to GUY CODE, the official blog of MTV2's "Guy Code" series and your online destination for all things dude, including—but not limited to—irreverent commentary on sports, hip-hop and ladies. Stay awhile and flex your manhood.
If you watched the "Guy Court" premiere last night, then you know Melanie Iglesias is a special kind of bailiff -- the kind who loves to discipline men who break Guy Code. She's "The Enforcer," and she's ready "to punish your guilty little butts" with some rough justice. Watch the slightly terrifying clip below, and then check out the full first episode.
+ Watch "Guy Court" every Wednesday at 11p/10c on MTV2
You don't want to be the guy who lazily keeps his Christmas decorations up 'til spring, just like you don't want a rotting, festering jack-o-lantern on your front porch after Halloween. Either make a delicious pie out of that thing, or find a way to dispose of it. And if you're anything like YouTube user Hickok45, a trigger-happy weapons enthusiast who lives on some kind of rural "compound" with more tools of death than the average World War requires, then tossing your gourd into the garbage just ain't gonna cut it.
Each year, Mr. Hickok breaks out his ludicrous arsenal (and the occasional oddity like the anvil above) for a lethal demonstration on a bunch of innocent pumpkins, which he claims to despise. Never offer this guy a pumpkin spice latte. Watch one of his videos below, and then click over to the "Tosh.0" blog for a bunch more pumpkin punishment:
Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving, last seen selecting Melanie Iglesias as his "Woman Crush Wednesday," has something in common with Johnny Knoxville: They both love disguising themselves as old men and pranking the public. In Irving's case, it comes in the form of crushing dismayed "younger" dudes on the court, as his geriatric persona Uncle Drew. He's still looking to put his geezer all-star team back together and stops in Chicago, where he finds his old point guard "Lights," who currently plays trumpet in an underground jazz club.
Chris Distefano tells you all about it in this week's "What's Good" segment:
Your actual grandmother might not approve of the violence in "Grand Theft Auto V," which she heard about from Anderson Cooper once, but this British grandma -- whose YouTube account is GAMERGRAN87 -- is a huge fan of video game carnage.
Furious over an increase in her gas bill, which apparently is a huge issue across the pond right now, she took to Los Santos for some therapeutic mayhem. "Sorry about the language everyone but I got a letter from British Gas and I had to let my anger out!" she explained. "20% price hike?! You thieving bastards. Have some of this."
She then baked a tray of cookies, knitted a sweater and became Europe's meth kingpin.
Another weekend's gone and you're struggling to keep your head up at school or work, mindlessly gazing out the window at increasingly bleak weather. That's a lot of downers, but cheer up, guys, because Melanie Iglesias just gave us a ray of YouTube sunshine. In this behind-the-scenes video from her recent shoot with photographer Nick Saglimbeni in L.A., the focus might be her heart-shaped sunglasses -- not, y'know, ice cream dripping all over her body -- but it'll still put a smile on your face if you've got a pulse:
No wonder Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving gave Melanie a shout out on Twitter last week for "Woman Crush Wednesday":
Who knew that something called the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Pepper would be so spicy?
In this episode of "Why Would You Eat That? Challenge," Ron Babcock and Michael Truly challenge two of their comedian friends, Chris Fairbanks and Jordan Morris, to eat the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Pepper. To give you some idea of how spicy this pepper is, jalapeno peppers measure about 8,000 Scoville Units (the official unit of spiciness) whereas the scorpion pepper measures around 2,000,000. That's about as much as pepper spray.
Because Babcock and Truly are nice guys, they gave Fairbanks and Morris access to a treasure chest full of yogurt, water and other treats that can counteract the pepper's effects. The only problem is that the treasure chest is locked, and Fairbanks and Morris need to find the right key to open it. There's something incredibly funny about watching two grown men scream for Greek yogurt.
Do you need a mullet wig, piercings and fake vampire teeth but can only make one stop? Then just go to the Halloween Adventure store in New York City.
Standup comic Ray DeVito visits Halloween Adventure, the biggest Halloween store in New York City, and speaks with Tony, the store's owner, about the seemingly endless supply of sexy costumes available. Surprisingly, sexy Cookie Monster is always a popular choice.
The store doesn't just offer costumes. You can also get piercings from Defacto, the stores piercing expert. Ask nicely and Defacto will even show you his horrific scars from his self-mutilation performances. If that's not your thing, you can get fake vampire teeth put in your mouth in a van parked outside the store. Don't worry, it's legit!
Halloween isn't just about girls dressing up in sexy costumes, candy and parties. For a well-rounded holiday, you can't just have the "treat" part. You need the "trick" part as well (and no, I don't mean "trick" as in prostitute). Don't do anything illegal! But you should plan some kind of prank, preferably aimed at your uptight friend who hates Halloween.
Dan Soder, Chris Distefano and Damien Lemon took a break from shooting "Guy Code" season four to discuss Halloween pranks. They each have experience with tricking people. Just don't take it too far and hurt somebody, otherwise Chris will find you and kick your ass.
From "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" to the morning show that our moms watched for decades, Regis Philbin is a broadcasting legend. Nobody is denying that. However, he might -- just might -- be a Guy Code violator, because he claims to root for the Yankees, the Pirates, the Dodgers and the Red Sox. To determine whether he's guilty of bandwagon-hopping, Damien Lemon and Chris Distefano -- in their finest "Guy Court" lawyer attire -- showed up on Fox Sports 1's "Crowd Goes Wild" to put Regis on trial.
"I'm not even a big sports fan," Damien said after presenting the damning evidence. "But until today I was a huge Regis fan!"
Watch the clip below to find out whether or not the audience voted to convict, and be sure to check out "Guy Court" when it premieres Wednesday, November 6th on MTV2.
What's the best Halloween costume you've ever rocked? After the 2008 Summer Olympics, my girlfriend and I dressed as Huo Liang and Lin Yue, the Chinese synchronized divers who won gold. That got a lot of looks. As a kid, I wanted to dress up like Mr. T one year. My mom rubbed charcoal on my skin to darken it ... let's just say it was a less politically correct era.
Dan Soder, Jon Gabrus, Chris Distefano and Damien Lemon took a break from shooting "Guy Code" season four to talk about their best and worst costumes of Halloweens past. Chris also reveals that girls have been tweeting him to say they're dressing up like his girlfriend, Carly Aquilino, this season. Ladies, if you do that, please tweet us the photos.
