About Us

Welcome to GUY CODE, the official blog of MTV2's "Guy Code" series and your online destination for all things dude, including—but not limited to—irreverent commentary on sports, hip-hop and ladies. Stay awhile and flex your manhood.

Tonight's premiere of "Girl Code" gives you a tour inside the female mind, which is useful in many ways--you have to understand ladies to undress them--but it can also be overwhelming.

Melanie Iglesias is concerned that guys "are gonna love it, but they're gonna be terrified." Because you'll learn what they think about your dick, what happens at gynecologist appointments and other heretofore mysteries. Still, even though the truth can be scary, ignorance is definitely not bliss. Watch the video below, and then tune in at 10:30/9:30c on MTV.

Chris Distefano and Carly Aquilino are both native New Yorkers, both standup comics, both "Girl Code" cast-members and both share the same bed. On "Guy Code," Chris has been an open book, telling us about how he lost his virginity, making fun of his own faux hawk and introducing us to his mom (aka roommate). However, we figured there still has to be some embarrassing things we don't know about him. Once we got her alone, Carly was happy to tell us.

Plus, we asked them both how they met and got two different stories. Watch the video below for a funny "Guy Code" versus "Girl Code" example of "he said, she said."

cutting room floor

Last weekend on MTV2, "Code Wars" pitted "Guy Code" against "Girl Code" in a battle of the sexes/burns. (We're not declaring a winner, because we're gentlemen.)

Between the laughs, you could pick up some useful information, and these clips from our "Cutting Room Floor" are no exception--like how to look at a girl's chest without creeping her out. Plus, why Chris Distefano can't get tattooed (Google "eczema") and why girl fights were way cuter before WorldStarHipHop made 'em too intense.

code wars

We know you have strong opinions about the Code, but ladies have their code too, and they're just as passionate. So during the "Guy Code" marathon airing on MTV2 this weekend, Andrew Schulz, Chris Distefano and Charlamagne Tha God will represent the male gender in a fierce, burn-filled battle of the sexes with Carly Aquilino, Tanisha Long and Jessimae Peluso from "Girl Code," which premieres on Tuesday at 10:30/9:30c.

Watch the sneak peek videos below to learn why guys don't have sleepovers (we call it "crashing") and how a robust knowledge of Girl Code is "gonna help you get laid." You'll also learn that, uh, Schulz thinks women's restrooms have urinals, apparently?

Jon Gabrus may look like a burly lumberjack, but he's a geek at heart. And one of his biggest nerd passions is "Game of Thrones." Since he's always willing to wax poetic about his (second) favorite show (after "Guy Code"), we asked him to do it in front of a webcam and gives us a short recap of each week's episode, with the Most Guy Code Moment as the kicker.

Last night's show was a perfect time to start. From a fiery farewell to a distinguished lord to Podrick Payne's roll with four circus performer-like prostitutes, it is an uber-manly episode to be sure. But what is the most Guy Code moment? Watch the video above to find out.

2013 MTV Movie Awards - Arrivals

Last night's 2013 MTV Movie Awards had a bunch of surprises--such as Aubrey Plaza trying to steal Will Ferrell's award--but it came as no surprise that Melanie Iglesias from "Guy Code" looked stunning. And "stunning" is a classy way of saying "hot as hell."

We're pretty much speechless, and you will be too after looking at these photos.

While the cast-members in "Guy Code" season three gave us the most memorable lines from this series yet, the animators brought their game to a whole new level as well. Every week we were delighted to see many of the illustrations work as hilarious GIFs on their own, without voice-over. And our fans seem to agree since the GIF and illustration recaps are some of the most visited blog posts every week. Since we couldn't decide on which were our favorites, we turned to the "Guy Code" animators themselves and these are the 11 examples they picked.

so disgusting

This season of "Guy Code" is over, but you can still improve your game with the help of MTV's "Girl Code," premiering on April 23 at 10:30/9:30c. See, if you can get inside women's heads, then you'll be unstoppable.

Speaking of heads, we've got an advance clip from the new series--featuring Melanie Iglesias and April Rose--that explains how ladies really feel about penises. (Also: Charlamagne Tha God declares that it's a "damn lie" when they claim size doesn't matter.) Even if our flesh torpedoes gross females out, they still love 'em anyway.

This season of "Guy Code" had too many classic moments to count, let alone whittle down to a handful of favorites. We asked the show's producers to try anyway...and they somehow got it down to, like, 45. After a long night spent debating the merits of each, we finally arrived at this list. Here are the Season Three lines that will live on in the history books...or, at least, on Twitter.

13. Jermaine Fowler On Getting Fat

"The only difference between fat black guys and fat white guys is that fat white dudes sing opera and fat black dudes sing R&B."

12. Kevin Barnett On Religion

"Change religions for a girl? That's crazy. Can you imagine what your boys would say? 'Kevin's so whipped, he's Jewish!'"

11. Chris Distefano On Being Stoned

"You can't tell me Plato and Socrates weren't stoned. They used to sit in a toga with their balls hanging out, claiming that they knew life's secrets. They were so stoned, it was unbelievable."

10. Jordan Carlos On Apologizing

"It takes only two words to apologize to a man and they're not, 'I'm sorry.' It's, 'We good?"
