About Us

Welcome to GUY CODE, the official blog of MTV2's "Guy Code" series and your online destination for all things dude, including—but not limited to—irreverent commentary on sports, hip-hop and ladies. Stay awhile and flex your manhood.

Are you the biggest fan of "Guy Code?" Nope, that title now belongs to @AhDiBoom. Censaur Ah Di Boom, a New Jersey resident who bills himself as a hip-hop/pop/reggae artist, posted this photo online today, showing off his new tattoo and claiming the title as the show's top fan. This is definitely the first permanent "Guy Code" ink we've seen. Not even Ryan Ling, the show's creator, has one.

Olympians spend their entire young lives toiling away in some gym or pool while their friends are all watching cartoons, and then they continue training in some sports bunker while their friends have graduated to dry humping with other kids their age. Olympic athletes are committed. Nobody is questioning this. But apparently some of them still feel the need to prove just how committed they are, so they get tattoos of the Olympic rings. Swimmers seem to be the most likely to get a permanent reminder of their sport-centric existence, which isn't surprising because Olympic swimmers are f***ing insane. So check out the ink on the 15 athletes we've listed below.

Credit: @VINNYGUADAGNINO

"Jersey Shore" cast-member and "Guy Code" commentator Vinny Guadagnino previously caused some head-scratching with the giant "Let Go Let God" script on his chest. But now he's showing the rest of his "J-Shore" cohorts that he's the Tat King of the house. Sorry Pauly D, sorry JWOWW, but the title's locked up for now. Vinny has now added a massive backplate to go with the words. As you can see above in the photo he tweeted, he added a giant (asymmetrical?) heart radiating with streaks, making him like some sort of guido version of Tenderheart Bear (which isn't an insult because who doesn't love the Care Bears?) Also, it looks super painful. All that Tenderheart ink on the tender sternum area?

Anyway, we can't wait to see what his Jersey housemates have to say about it.

Today, for the third and final time this year and the last time until September 2013, it is Friday the 13th. What does that mean for you? Well, if you generally believe that the day is unlucky, or worse, are plagued by friggatriskaidekaphobia, you may want to take cover. For the rest of you, there's this gallery of freaky Jason Voorhees tattoos, the man-boy mass murderer from the "Friday the 13th" movie series. The common thread in the tattoos is his iconic mask, but there's plenty of variety and ranging interpretations.

Miley Cyrus got a Teddy Roosevelt quote tattooed on her left forearm. We quite honestly can't even believe she knows who he is, let alone that she's familiar with one of his speeches. It's quite an inspiring quote, too (I guess nobody gets UNINSPIRING quotes inked onto their skin permanently): "So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat."

But it just doesn't...fit. So we came up with six presidential quotes that would've made more sense on Miley's skin.

1. To remind her of the confusing old days when she traveled both as herself and as her alter ego Hannah Montana: ''I've now been in fiftyyyy...seven states...''  -- Barack Obama

Use this handy guide to determine whether or not the tattooed lady you've been eyeing is a safe bet, or a psychological hurricane. Three or more green flags, you're in the clear. Three or more red flags: proceed with caution!

PLACEMENT

Green Light
LOWER LEGS, BEHIND THE EAR, ABDOMEN

These are "safe" areas. If you're looking for someone who lives a little dangerously, but whom you can still take home to mom, you're in the clear.

Red Light
INSIDE LIP, FACE/NECK, KNUCKLES

Tattoos in these areas indicate a relative disregard for one's future, and employment opportunities limited to hairdresser and Suicide Girl. They also indicate a poor or non-existent relationship with one's father.

We're all in favor of you supporting your favorite artist or actor. Buying DVDs and concert tickets and seeing films the opening weekend is a cultural norm, but some fans take it a little too far. Like this middle-aged man who has not one, not two, but 15 Miley Cyrus tattoos. Come on, man, really? One is bad enough.

He calls himself MileyCyrusCarl on Twitter and his bio reads: "Miley Cyrus u are a Miracle. I love u so much x nobody is more beautiful & talented & sexy as u. I have 15 tattoos of u! There's an Angel in LA xxxx." Cyrus -- or fiance Liam Hemsworth, for that matter -- might want to get a restraining order as one of his various inks reads "OBSESSED." His other tats include her face on his bicep, her name on his forearms, clavicle bones and knuckles and her signature on his hands.

According to one of his recent tweets, he already has an image picked out for his 16th ode to the Disney star. Carl certainly "Can't Be Tamed." (Sorry, we had to. You'll get over it.) Where do you think he'll put this portrait? His ass cheek, perhaps? We can hardly stand the anticipation.

Click past the jump to see more of his fleshy tribute to the starlet.

Rihanna recently tweeted a photo of her new ankle tattoo. It is a falcon, and it is just about as majestic as an ankle tat can be. But how does it stack up with other pop stars' bird tattoos?

Well, it dwarfs Justin Beiber's little dinky bird on his hip.

That thing makes the Twitter logo look like a frigging bald eagle with a bloody shark hanging out of its mouth.

But then there's Chris Brown's right leg tattoo. It's tough to find a good look at it online, but it appears to be a massive phoenix-like bird that may or may not be on fire. It's huge and ornate and takes the top spot. By the way, we're obligated to point out that Chris Brown has a bird tat on his leg and then Rihanna goes out and gets one. Coincidence?

Beloved Spanish painter Salvador Dalí not only inspired scores of other surrealist artists but he himself moved a whole bunch of people to get his mug inked on their own personal canvases. Dalí's own work was versatile, and he was quite prolific, producing over 1,500 paintings in his career, plus illustrations for books, sculptures and more. The eccentric, wide-eyed artist also popularized a twirly mustache style which we discovered has its own Facebook group with over 8,000 fans. The legend passed away in 1989 but his personality and art live on, and we present this gallery of Dalí tattoos as part of the celebration of his life and work.

Trace Cyrus (older bro to Miley, famous for pretty much nothing) has already covered nearly every inch of his skinny punk-rock body in tattoos, so imagine the dilemma he faced last month when he got the itch for some new ink but had no place to put it. Smart guy that he is, Cyrus used his head, literally, to come up with a prime spot for his rose, tribal Indian dude and bald eagle.

While Cyrus' Americana-themed tats will surely go down in history books as some of the more "interesting" celebrity tattoos (joining the prestigious ranks of Eve's paw prints and Gucci Mane's ice cream cone), he's not the first one to use his head as a canvas. Here are eight other celebs who have inked their noggins:
