About Us

Welcome to GUY CODE, the official blog of MTV2's "Guy Code" series and your online destination for all things dude, including—but not limited to—irreverent commentary on sports, hip-hop and ladies. Stay awhile and flex your manhood.

Hurricane Sandy's blast through the city that never sleeps resulted in some serious damage. It also resulted in some people taking photos of things that looked like they were straight from one of those awful end of the world movies. Pictured above is Times Square, not far from our offices, with no people and most of the lights off. Any New Yorker will tell you that the worst thing about Times Square would have to be all the people, but to see it like this is rather unsettling. Save us, Dennis Quaid, you're our only hope.

Halloween is right around the corner. Ghouls and ghosts and all that other crap have invaded our lives. By now, you should have your costume picked out, your party spot determined and your crew in tow. This year promises to be just as crazy as Halloweens in the past, which is why we decided to get a little crazy for our next set of WWE memes featuring classic superstars.

Kamala was also known as "The Ugandan Giant." He feuded with Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, and Jake "The Snake" Roberts, where it was strangely revealed that he had a fear of snakes. After leaving the WWE for a short while he returned as a heel-turned-face. Although with that face we see nothing, but evil. We couldn't think of a better wrestler to help us celebrate Halloween. Or rather, creep us the f*** out for Halloween.

Like another prominent Boston sports icon before him, Patriots tight end/man-child Rob Gronkowski's actions can most aptly be described with his own name. Only Gronkowski is much more jovial and likable than Manny Ramirez was during his run in Beantown. Even during the off-season, the legend of Gronk widened with visits to the ESPY awards, spreads in Muscle & Fitness and ESPN's Body Issue, appearances at charity events and on a dating show and parties nationwide. But when training camp started in July, the Patriots pulled the plug on the Summer of Gronk.

Yet the de facto president of Gronk Nation, the inspiration for the rock video "I Wanna Gronk," will not go quietly into the night. Though the 6' 6" tight end is off to a slower start than last season, just like the 4-3 Pats, Gronk just posted his best game this season (statistically) against the Jets with six catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns, a performance complete with a GRONK SPIKE. Are we on the verge of another Gronkpocalypse? Maybe! It sure feels like the time to celebrate the big guy with 20 great Gronk moments. Check it out.

Halloween means different things to a variety of people. For kids, it's a chance to collect a stomachache-inducing amount of candy in a very short period of time. For many teenagers, Halloween means mischief, haunted houses or handing out candy to the kids. And then for 20- and 30-somethings, October 31 signifies an opportunity to dress up for a Halloween party as a barely-clothed kitten, a president  or something else topical. The one constant is pumpkin carving and now we've got some pumpkinspiration for you: London Olympics standout Usain Bolt and 12 other major 2012 figures -- athletes, a musician, a comedian, politicians and one of "Guy Code"'s own.

Poor Kevin Kolb has been sacked 22 times in the past three games thanks to terrible offensive line play. Kolb won't sit dejectedly on the field anytime soon though, because he suffered a sprained sternoclavicular joint, detached rib and a shoulder injury after getting tackled during a broken play late in the Cardinals overtime loss to the Bills this past Sunday. NFL quarterbacks have a funny way of expressing their grief after getting sacked or knocked down, often by just ... sitting there. Scroll down to see them mourn bad plays.

Since the powers that be introduced speed-dating to New York Comic Con it's become widespread knowledge that geeks do in fact date. Ladies can chat up Batman, Darth Vader and Thor in five-minute intervals, then decide whose digits to snag to continue a relationship (or super one-night stand). Two episodes of TLC's "Geek Love" showed the world that comic and video game nerds got game. Well... sometimes.

Guy Code Blog hit up New York Comic Con 2012 to get the scoop from the pretty ladies themselves about the pick-up lines guys use on them during the convention. Puns on cosplay outfits and shouts of "hot," "sexy" and "nice tits" are the stereotypical norm, but some guys are too intimidated to even ask for a picture. As Wonder Woman points out, a few guys wouldn't even put their hand around her waist during a photo. Click after the jump to see what pick-up lines, or general dialogue, to avoid at future Cons and see these sexy babes in full costume.

Israeli super duper model Bar Refaeli had a little beach adventure over the weekend in her native Tel Aviv, only when Bar has little adventures a couple hundred thousand people get to see the scrapbook on her Instagram. Fellow models Shelly Gafni, Nirit Kairi and Valentina Micchetti joined her in the sand and made guest appearances in the photos.

While stuck in traffic a day earlier, Bar posted a shot and wrote, "Why do girls always take pix of themselves blowing a kiss?! XXX." Really, she's making duck face (NSFW video). But to answer her question: It's because somewhere along the line a kiss morphed into a ghastly duck face, which women became deluded into thinking makes them look attractive. It doesn't! But Bar makes anything look good. See her dominate Instagram below.

We're back with a brand new edition of tattoos that your boss can see but probably doesn't want to. Halloween is near so it's high time to look at some messed up things that people have decided to carry around on a daily basis. A tower of Hello Kitty figures with arrows and self-inflicted gunshots through their heads? Check. A sad man trapped inside a taco forever? Yeah. Some guy who appears to be facing forward with a pair of ghastly hands grasping on the back of a neck? There's that too.

Election Day is only 32 days away and the race for the Presidency is heating up with three more debates in the next three weeks. For the latest on the election, check out MTV's feed here. This public service announcement is concluded.

Some presidents have gotten quite a bit of tattoo love while the likes of Millard Fillmore, Zachary Taylor and James Buchanan remain preserved in portraits alone. Their ghosts will have to get over it. Guy Code Blog now pays tribute to U.S. Presidents with some supreme ink tributes.

It's been nearly two months since we reported that our beloved Melanie Iglesias and Vinny Guadagnino, the resident nice-guy of "Jersey Shore," appeared to be dating. While we still haven't had an official confirmation from them, it definitely seems like they're still together. Melanie, along with Lisa Ramos and Andrew Schulz, were hosting a "Guy Code" party at the Providence nightclub in Atlantic City this weekend, Vinny tagged along and Splash News has posted the pics. "Guy Code'"s first couple is a paparazzi target now.
