About Us

Welcome to GUY CODE, the official blog of MTV2's "Guy Code" series and your online destination for all things dude, including—but not limited to—irreverent commentary on sports, hip-hop and ladies. Stay awhile and flex your manhood.

"Guy Code" viewers have shown their love, making it the highest rated original series in MTV2 history. (Hell, it's the #1 cable show in its time slot among teens, and #2 for everyone else.) So the cast is returning the favor, helping you show your love on Valentine's Day, which Damien Lemon theorizes Hallmark created to "manipulate women's emotions and men's wallets."

In this clip from next week's episode, April Rose gives you the formula for success ("Nice dinner + nice gift = sex"), former WWE star Barbie Blank makes a special appearance and Melanie Iglesias teaches you how to make her smile. Speaking of which, during the episode she'll announce the winner of MTV2's "Win a Date with Melanie Contest." Are you the lucky dude out of 380 who entered? Tune in to find out.

Yesterday, we introduced fans to The Hangover Olympics and asked which events you'd like to see included. We received hundreds of great suggestions at #HangoverGames. The term even started trending last night after the sketch aired on "Guy Code." Below, we've collected some of our favorite responses for additional events and included tweets from some boastful competitors who claim to already be black-belts of the Hangover Olympics.

Last night "Guy Code" (watch full episode here) taught us that black church is more fun than white church...but you never know when black church is going to let out, so you might miss every football game on any given Sunday. The cast  got in deep on Religion, Rivalry, First Dates and Body Odor...every man must sniff his nuts from time to time to test their negative potency. You also got The Hangover OlympicsThere was a lot of info. You should really watch the episode (again) to get it all, but here are some of the best GIFs from last night to help you along.

Our "Guy Code" pros have so much hilarious advice that we can't always fit it into one episode. And who are we to keep all the extra goods to ourselves? That's why we've decided to give you access to some bonus footage from the "Cutting Room Floor."

This week, the cast is answering the tough questions. For example, "Do you believe in God?" and "Should you beat-off before a first date?" You owe it to yourself to get all the knowledge you can this week, so stop procrastinating and watch the video.

When you have a raging hangover, trying to accomplish the most basic tasks feels futile. Just the thought of getting a glass of water from the kitchen after a night of whiskey shots can force the strongest men to whimper in the fetal position.

How do you deal with a killer hangover when you need to get things done? Get some friends and turns those simple tasks into games. Guys are naturally competitive, so trying to beat your friends in things like getting dressed while not dry-heaving will give you that extra push.

Below watch the full version of tonight's new "Guy Code" sketch comedy video, The Hangover Olympics. Then, let us know on Twitter what events you'd include in your personal #HangoverOlympics.

Guys love to brag, and that's normally a good thing. Chicks prefer confidence over self-doubt. But you've gotta be modest about your size and stamina in the sack, because--if you set ladies' (s)expectations too high--you'll inevitably disappoint. Use some reverse psychology and set the bar low, then surprise 'em with a marathon, as Charlamagne Tha God explains in this sneak peek from tonight's "Guy Code."

Just because you put on deodorant in the morning, you're not 100% safe from B.O. After a workout or just lazing around in the sun, you can accumulate a disgusting amount of sweat. So don't trust your pits; if you really want to measure your stink, sniff your balls.

But you can't actually get your nose down there (we're guessing), so you've gotta smear a sample on your hand. "Your balls will tell you everything," Jordan Carlos explains in this clip from Tuesday night's new "Guy Code." And if your balls tell you to take a damn shower, then do it ASAP, because Melanie Iglesias speaks on behalf of all women when she says, "If a guy has stinky balls, I know what I won't do."

Pittsburgh Steeler's All-Pro outside linebackerLaMarr Woodley has been playing football long enough to know a thing or two about smack talking. He uses it to get inside the heads of opposing offense linemen and quarterbacks, just like most guys on the field do.

According to him, no topic is off-limits in the NFL. It's not like the wimpy NBA, where a player flies off the handle for hearing that his wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios. However, there are some guys who really over-do it and later things "may get resolved" in a shopping mall. LaMarr has seen it. Watch the video to learn more.

LaMarr Woodley, Pittsburgh Steeler and Super Bowl Champion, was an honorary cast-member during the Super Bowl Party segment on this week's "Guy Code" and shared his "Good Ass Night." Guy Code Blog was lucky enough to get some time with Woodley as well, and we asked the hard-hitting questions like is it douchey to wear your Super Bowl ring too much and what's Guy Code in the locker room.

As for the latter topic, you'll have to watch the video below to learn the proper post-game showering etiquette.

Pittsburgh Steeler LaMarr Woodley knows that winning the Super Bowl is a Good-Ass Night. But he's laying down some Guy Code for fellow Super Bowl winners: You can't be all ostentatious about it, wearing your championship ring everywhere--especially if you didn't even play in the big game, just sat on the bench. "When you're not relevant, that's what you do," explains LaMarr, who keeps his ring in a closet.

That doesn't mean he's not proud of the victory. He knows he "accomplished the ultimate goal." He's just not gonna rub it in everyone's face. Memo to the 49ers and Ravens.
