Welcome to GUY CODE, the official blog of MTV2's "Guy Code" series and your online destination for all things dude, including—but not limited to—irreverent commentary on sports, hip-hop and ladies. Stay awhile and flex your manhood.
Guys love to say and do whatever we want, but this tends to get us in trouble with the ladies, who value tact and thoughtfulness and other social graces we don't understand. Another thing we don't understand: Why they'll forgive us just 'cause we buy some useless, overpriced flowers. But those roses work like a charm, assuming you get the right ones, as "Guy Code" animator Bryan Brinkman explains in this week's GIF Code.
Some guys think it's unmanly to cook -- unless charcoal is involved, anyway -- but ladies find almost nothing sexier than when a dude prepares a meal. That includes setting the table, but don't worry about which forks go where, 'cause you should just throw Ninja Turtles weapons and various tools on the placemat. Who needs utensils anyway?
Look at poor Miley Cyrus. She so badly wants to take that nearly-transparent white tank-top off, but she just can't seem to do it. So frustrating. However, so fascinating to watch over-and-over again in animated GIF form.
We're not going to delve into the theories on what is going on with Miley. All we know is that she's interesting as hell right now and watching her new "Wrecking Ball" video makes us feel things. Things that shouldn't be uttered out loud or in print. So, we're just going to let these GIFs of Miley do the talking for us. Read More...
Each Thursday, former "Guy Code" animator Bryan Brinkman (who now doodles for a little program you might've heard of called "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon") is returning with GIF Code. And since the NFL season kicks off today, he's here to translate some of the refs' lesser-known calls into plain English...or as we'll now refer to it, "plain EnGIF."
It's the Monday after a long holiday weekend, and whether you're back at work or school, you're probably not feeling super upbeat right now. Well, here's the cure for those post-Labor Day blues: Melanie Iglesias from "Guy Code" (and soon "Guy Court"), infinitely looped thanks to 50 sexy GIFs compiled from her flip books and modeling videos. BBQ season might be just about over, but these smokin' images will get you through the cold months ahead...
Last week, we introduced you to GIF Code by Bryan Brinkman, a former animator for "Guy Code" who is currently working for "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." While Bryan is no longer working full-time for the Code, he still has so much Code to offer. That's why he's creating new GIF'd up lessons each Thursday.
You learned how to man-up your tiny dog last week. Today it's time to tackle your bike. It's time to turn your 10-speed into a man-speed.
When it comes to revolutionary dudes with swagger, nobody did it better than Martin Luther King Jr. Today is the 50th anniversary of King's "I Have a Dream" speech -- just one of the many major accomplishments he made throughout his lifetime. This man led marches, organized boycotts, inspired an entire generation to use non-violent activism, changed the course of American race relations for the better and yet his words were considered so dangerous he was locked up 30 times.

Whether they were hilarious, outrageous, or had us wondering what the hell was going on, the GIFable moments were endless. From the sexy ladies of Danity Kane announcing their return to Rihanna's general disdain for everyone on stage, see our favorite VMA GIFs after the cut. (Shout out to the MTV Tumblr for many of these GIFs!)
Earlier this week, Melanie Iglesias released a video of her innocently licking an ice cream cone, no subtext whatsoever. "Guy Code" fans went crazy for it, but YouTube tragically banned it for being too awesome suggestive. A backup version (above) is still online for now, but -- just in case that one also gets unjustly yanked -- we've got some animated GIFs to keep hope alive. Enjoy this Friday treat, guys...it tastes like freedom.
Without its team of skilled animators, "Guy Code" wouldn't be the same. One of those guys, Bryan Brinkman, is now at "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," but he's bringing brand new animated GIFs to Guy Code Blog every Thursday, doling out helpful advice in the show's iconic style.
This week, Bryan has some tips for dudes who own chihuahuas, Yorkies and other pathetic little canines. Because a dog is not a toy, and it shouldn't look like one either...
