About Us

Welcome to GUY CODE, the official blog of MTV2's "Guy Code" series and your online destination for all things dude, including—but not limited to—irreverent commentary on sports, hip-hop and ladies. Stay awhile and flex your manhood.

"La la la la la." It wasn't just Daria's theme song, but an anthem for people in high school--particularly women--who opted out of the mainstream because the mainstream sucks. These were our kind of ladies--cynical, sarcastic and completely nihilistic. So hot.

Those ladies and the men who loved them were finally able to catch up with their favorite malcontent  when "Daria: The Complete Animated Season" was released earlier this year to a much-deserved mini-celebration. Since the DVD release, people have been hungry for more Daria, so we've taken it upon ourselves to assemble this gift guide of the best Daria memorabilia the Internet would allow us to find. And while Daria certainly would not approve of this attention--actually she'd be pretty ticked off with it--at least she'd hilariously insult us.

Beavis and Butt-head do not like things that suck. This holiday season, on behalf of all men, women, boys, girls, cornholios and fartknockers, your favorite cartoon dudes want you to know that it sucks to get the same old gifts every year. Things like knitted sweaters, tube socks, neckties and Brita water filters suck. Don't give those to people. That's why the Clutch action committee has created the official Beavis and Butt-head Guide To Gifts That Don't Suck. Follow this guide so you can avoid the typical holiday rut and get your loved ones things that are pretty cool.

So take the Butt Scratcher 2000 back to the store and whip out your credit card. If you don't know anyone who wants this awesome stuff, get some new friends. Then you can do the one thing that's better than buying presents for loved ones--buying presents for yourself.

If you're out with your skateboard but you don't want to ride it, you've got three choices: throw your skateboard away; carry your skateboard in your hands; or strap your skateboard to your stylish backpack. Clearly, the last option is the best option. But in order to go with that option you need a stylish backpack that holds a skateboard. That's where pro skater Paul Rodriguez's Signature Collection with Incase comes into play.

The line meshes P-Rod's personal style and Incase's durable design to create skateboard-specific, weather-resistant nylon gear that is equal parts form and function. The skate pack features a tool kit panel that allows you to secure things inside and a skateboard attachment that holds on to your deck on the outside. And the duffel bag includes a hideaway leash that turns the piece into a rolling bag when a skateboard is attached and a stash pocket for whatever it is you want to stash. It also comes with a completely free bonus feature: If you fall on your back while wearing it, you'll be totally fine.

The bags are available in aubergine/electric orange and black, and retail for as low as $129.95.

Check out the gift guide below for more things that you need people to buy you.

You probably know Chris "Drama" Pfaff as Rob Dyrdek's cousin/partner in crime/punching bag on the fantastic American TV show "Fantasy Factory." What you may not know is that the Akron, Ohio, native isn't just a Fantasy Factory employee. He's also a burgeoning music producer and the brains behind the clothing like Young & Reckless, his biggest solo success yet.

This fall, Y&R dropped a line of new lightweight hoodies that truly speak to Drama's laid-back skater lifestyle and his love of beats. The above Y&R hoodies (and a few more designs) retail for $49.99 and are available on the Young and Reckless website. Guys, this is the closest you'll ever get to being kicked in the shins by Rob. Better take advantage of the opportunity.

Check out the gift guide below for more gifts you need people to buy.

The two most infuriating things to hear at holiday season are "Of course I made fresh cranberry sauce" and "It's better to give than receive." The former because fresh cranberry sauce has got nothing on the canned variety, and the latter because it's simply not true. To make sure you receive the best gifts possible this year, we put together a guide to everything you need. There are techie things, stylish things and just-for-fun things. And trust us, you need all of these things. Make sure you remember to send this to whoever's buying you gifts this year. How else can you experience the joy of receiving?

Looking to show your school pride this fall? Well, whether you're rooting on the Fighting Irish on a Saturday afternoon or showing how smart you are on any other day (we're looking at you, Harvard kids), JanSport, previously know for its backpacks and not much else, has you covered with its 2010 Collegiate Apparel line.

Representing more than 3,000 universities across the country, the outdoor gear brand designed a system for heat appliqué processing of twill fabric that allows JanSport to create school-decorated apparel with a Pellon-free backing. Confused? That just means it keeps the scratchy stuff, usually found on the inside of your garment, out. The result is the new sweatshirt feel all the time. You know you want that.

Check out NYU and Harvard gear below.
