The music industry might be full of grown-ass man making grown-ass deals and grown-ass amounts of money, but sometimes it's just like high school. Take "Broad Street Bully" Beanie Sigel, for example. There's been bad blood between the one-time Roc-A-Fella collaborator and its cofounder Jay-Z since Hova split from the label way back in the aughts. You know, your basic former-best-friends-who-are-now-mortal-enemies drama that your sister was always tearing up the house about. Sigel got particularly nasty on several tracks he put out in 2009, particularly on "What You Talkin Bout," where he rhymed: "I was the fly on the wall / the s*** I witnessed / I could say s*** that make B look at you different."
Then, last month, XXL published an interview in which Beanie "apologized" for the things he said, and gave props to Jay for giving him his start in the biz. Once that headline exploded all over the internet, Sigel backtracked, saying he never apologized and the quotes were taken out of context.
But this isn't high school. Sigel is a grown-ass man who will set the record straight on what actually was said (or wasn't said) today at 4 p.m. ET on RapFix Live. Be sure to send your questions to Beanie Sigel on Twitter via hashtag #rapfixlive.

Because men having "guy crushes" hasn't yet become an as widely accepted phenomenon as women having "girl crushes," let me (a woman) step in and wish Johnny Depp, a man we all love here at Clutch, a very happy 48th birthday. We wanted to do something really special for the chameleonlike actor, whose roles steer wide of his real-life aloofness. So we made him this cake. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised he reacted the way he did.
What kind of pop-culture consumers/critics/cannibals would we be if we didn't point out that today is, among many other things, Chris Brown's birthday.
We can't really afford to buy the 22-year-old R&B singer the kind of lavish gifts or bacchanal party a man of his paper game probably expects (we imagine both have a lot to do with "models" and even more to do with "poppin' bottles"). So we opted instead to make Breezy a birthday card the only way we know how.
It's a good look on you, man. Hope you like it.
As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. On Monday night's episode of "Conan," anti-ginger beard activist Will Ferrell finally made good on his threats to shave off the whiskers that Conan O'Brien has sported since things with NBC went south last summer. The shearing marked the end of an era, and the beard that spawned a cult following will be sorely missed by fans, friends and facial-hair enthusiasts the world over. We're pouring one out for you, Big Red Mistake.
