Chris Distefano has just achieved every Knicks fan’s dream. No, he wasn’t drafted by the team, but he does star in Jordan’s new commercials for the Carmelo Antony Jordans, alongside fellow comedian J.B. Smoove.
Growing up in New York City, Distefano is a die hard Knicks fan who also played ball at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn. He averaged 15.4 points per game and set a school record with 1,864 total points. No other player at St. Joseph’s has come within 500 points of that record. Getting cast in a commercial is great for any comedian, but this has got to be the perfect fit for Distefano.

The obvious next step is for Distefano is to play in the Celebrity All Star Game this year. Vinny Guadagnino and his Twitter followers rallied for the “Jersey Shore” star’s spot at the 2012 All Star Weekend with #PutVinnyInTheGame. Let’s do the same with our boy Chris. Starting tweeting #PutChrissyDInTheGame to @NBA and @NBAAllStar now. If you’re not convinced, check out these clips of Distefano working out on a couch.
