Men’s Florals: A Fashion Trend That Utterly Breaks The Code [Photos]

The last few years have seen a resurgence of the floral patterns that Elaine Benes popularized on “Seinfeld.” Sure, the ’90s are back, but nobody ever imagined men wearing those garish frocks. Nobody, that is, except for designers at Gucci, Prada and other high-end companies, who are trumpeting flower power as the male fashion trend of 2014.

There’s always bizarre stuff on the fashion runways of Europe, and we don’t exactly foresee most guys ripping these off the shelves. However, all of us are susceptible to marketing onslaughts — not so long ago, a slim-fit suit (now de rigueur) would’ve gotten you laughed out of the boardroom for dressing like an anorexic – so consider us concerned.

Of course, Hawaiian shirts are a classic, fantastic look for a man, but only if you’re 225+ pounds and/or a member of the Beach Boys. Otherwise, we can only recommend wearing a flower if it’s your wedding day. Guy Code means doing whatever the hell you want, though, so if floral prints are your thing, then check out the below pics and rock those petals.
