There’s nothing wrong with breakdancing–actually, it can be pretty damn impressive–but New York subway breakdancers are a total pain in the ass. Most of us prefer silence for our morning commutes, plus we don’t appreciate encroachment of our (extremely limited) breathing room.
Celtic dancing, however? Not more appreciated, but certainly less expected. Comedian Tyler Fischer joined some b-boys to mess with subway riders, as hip-hop turned to fiddle music. “Look at him go! He’s a little leprechaun!” one of them shouts. “Do not be afraid to give the Irish guy your money.”
Our take? Funny for sure, but if you dance on a pole–no matter the style, no matter the seriousness–you’re a pole dancer, and that’s not exactly upholding Guy Code.
