The temperature is dropping, leaves are changing color and pumpkins are abundant. You know what that means? Yep, it's October; and it's time to celebrate former 7'7" NBA center Manute Bol's birthday on October 16! What's that? You didn't remember the Sudanese Swatter's birthday? The man once blocked four consecutive shots, people. But before we start paying tribute to Manute, take a look at this video of his son, Bol Bol. Bol Bol is in seventh grade. He's also 6'5". Judging by the video, he might be taking after his old man.
On or off the court, Bol Bol could do worse than resembling his father. The man was a badass. For example, here's a video of that time he blocked four consecutive shots.
Bol also wasn't too bad at making three-pointers. At home and with enough of a lead, fans loved watching the seven-footer shoot threes toward the end of games.
During and after his NBA career, Bol worked tirelessly to help Sudan. He donated most of his NBA earnings to charities. In 2002, he agreed to take part in a celebrity boxing match with William "The Refrigerator" Perry just so Fox would broadcast the phone number to his charity.
Lastly, Bol became good friends with Charles Barkley, and the two would play practical jokes on each other. See if you can spot Rick Mahorn in this video.
