2 Chainz has been everywhere in the past year, working with Kanye, Nicki Minaj, Drake and even Kreayshawn. And now, the 35-year-old newbie will be lending his talents to this week’s episode of “Guy Code” (Tues at 11p/10c). We are pumped to have the rapper on the week before his debut album drops, to say the least. Dude’s hilarious, he knows his sports and the ladies love him. So we need to absorb whatever wisdom he chooses to dispense. To get an idea of what’s in store, here are 10 facts about 2 Chainz that you may not know. Feel free to pretend like you’ve been watching this guy’s rise for years now.

1. Mr. Chainz (real name Tauheed Epps) played basketball at Alabama State.

2. LeBron James listens to 2 Chainz before games, and likes the rapper’s stuff so much that he sends 2 Chainz his newest kicks in advance and even gave him a shout-out at the All-Star Game.

3. Remember that song “Duffle Bag Boy?” That was him, as part of the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle.

4. Playaz = Preparing Legal Assets for Years from A-Z.

5. He doesn’t write down his raps.

6. His original nickname (and Twitter handle) is Tity Boi, because he was an only child and got all the breastmilk to himself. He later adopted 2 Chainz because he likes jewelry and is wearing two chains in an old yearbook photo.

7. He was recently arrested for trying to bring brass knuckles onto a plane.

8. He held a listening party for his solo debut “Based On A T.R.U. Story” at Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in NYC.
