What happens when you mix "Fight Club" with the Bible, and the role of Tyler Durden is played by Jesus Christ? Well, you get a lot of pissed off Christians, first of all. But you also get "Fight Church," a documentary that looks at MMA as a vehicle for teaching Christianity, and the struggle some fighters have trying to reconcile their religious beliefs with the violent sport. In other words: "Can you really love your neighbor as yourself and then punch him in the face?"
The movie is still in production but it's raising a whole hell of a lot of controversy already. We're not sure where we fall on the issue -- shouldn't we all just wait to see the movie first? But one thing is certain: it'll be a compelling film full of MMA action, because it's directed by the Academy Award winning documentary filmmaker, Daniel Junge. Take a look at the trailer below.
