Thunderous Heavyweights Collide For Title At Bellator 70

This weekend is huge for MMA…literally. While the UFC will hold their first “All Heavyweights” main card at UFC 146 in Las Vegas, Bellator will see their biggest and baddest collide when massive heavyweight champion Cole Konrad takes on the monstrous beast known as Eric Prindle.

Together, these mammoth human fighting machines tip the scales at a total combined weight of 570 lbs. They just aren’t big for no damn reason, these two also have a combined record of 17-1. While Konrad is a perfect 8-0, five of his fights have gone the distance. Meanwhile, Prindle is 9-1 with only two fights making it to the final bell. With the heavyweight strap on the line, we’re anticipating these gargantuan human beings to wreak havoc inside of the cage. Hide your kids, hide your wife, because furniture is going to be moving tonight.
Before the big guys throw down, the lightweight tournament final between Rick Hawn and Brent Weedman will take place. Since losing a split decision to Jay Hieron in the welterweight tournament finals last season, Hawn’s lightweight run has been impressive as he has knocked out both of his opponents heading into the finals. Weedman has come back from back-to-back losses to get to the finals and will have his hands full with the hard punching Hawn.

Elsewhere, Luis Noguiera and Hiroshi Nakamura will battle in a bantamweight semifinal and former UFC fighter Rich Clementi will throwdown with Derek Campos in a lightweight battle.

We don’t know what the hell you’re going to be doing tonight, but we’ll be watching “Bellator” at 8p/7c on MTV2!
