Before we get fired up for the NBA Playoffs let’s remember this season for the drama, the action, and of course, the most horrendous basketball team to take the court since the Washington Generals. Ladies and gentlemen…you’re Charlotte Bobcats! Michael Jordan‘s team has accomplished what many thought was impossible, lock down the all-time worst .106 winning percentage for the season. Let’s take a look back at how they got to this remarkable place.

1. The first loss of the season came at the hands of Miami Heat‘s Big 3. The Bobcats were there with them until D-Wade sinks a last second jumper. Those fans had no idea what kind of season it would be.

2. DeSagana Diop leads the league in…nothing, actually. But this free throw pretty much sums up why.

3. Jamal Crawford of the Blazers makes Charlotte’s D look downright silly with this reverse layup. That put the ‘Cats down 44 with an entire quarter left to play. Start the “Comeback” chant…

4. One good thing about the Bobcats is they can make anyone look like early-90′s Shaq. Clog the lane! It’s Marcin Gortat!

5. Not to be outdone DeSagana Diop, rookie Bismack Biyombo decides to enter the Strange-Name-Terrible-Free-Throw Contest.

6. You know your team is in trouble when it signs Corey Maggette to provide veteran leadership. Lesson #1: Always pass it to the guy wearing the SAME jersey as you.

7. March 19, 2012. A day that will live in Charlotte infamy. The beginning of the 23-game (and counting) losing streak took place against the Sixers. High scorer of the night? Gerald Henderson with a whopping 14 points.

8. But just when you thought it couldn’t get any uglier, reports of coach Paul Silas tangling with forward Tyrus Thomas begin to emerge. The 68 year-old coach was upset at Ty for chatting up his former Celtics teammates. When Silas confronted him, Ty stood up causing the coach to shove him back into his locker. Now that’s the sort of coaching we need in this league. Paging Lou Brown

9. The grand finale took place on April 26, 2012 in front of the home crowd. STAT and the New York Knicks were in town to practice for their opening round opponent and thanks to Tyrus Thomas he was able to work on his inside game.

10. It was a long season and fingers are crossed for this years Lottery and a chance to draft the ‘Brow. Let’s leave those ‘Cats fans with something good from this season. Like this game-saving block by Bismack from a March game against the Hornets.
