Facebook Buys Instagram, Makes Weird Changes

Instagram is one of the most popular smartphone apps of all time. Just as an Android version was released, and the software started getting really popular, like “my Grandma’s on it” popular, Mark Zuckerberg and company swooped in and snatched it up. They bought the company for the evil (as in Dr. Evil) amount of $1 billion. That’s a whole lot of money for access to a lot of sepia-toned pictures of cats and people’s brunch dishes, but hey, what do we know. What everyone is wondering is how Instagram is going to change now that it’s owned by Zuckerberg. Facebook has such a bad habit of making pointless, irritating changes with their own website, so why would they do anything different with one they bought?

We were able to get our hands on a beta version of the Instagram app, post-Facebook-acquisition, and we ran a few tests. For the most part, everything seems to function the same, except for this one weird thing…
