We've all seen athletes trip, fall, fumble and drop things, but they're not the only ones who are prone to embarrassment during game time. There is a whole cast of other people involved who can be just as clumsy. Reporters, refs, cameramen and even groundskeepers have their fair share of accidents. Cheerleaders fall, announcers stutter and the marching band gets nailed all the time. Fortunately for them, their mistakes aren't usually on camera and rarely affect the outcome of the game. Fortunately for you, Clutch found some that were caught on camera and selected our favorite hiccups from people involved in the game, who don't happen to be playing it.
Cameraman Trips During World Series

The top photo is the fall and immediately above is base-runner Adrian Beltre re-watching it on a smart phone. During game four of this year's World Series, a TBS cameraman tried to follow the Texas Rangers third baseman backwards as he rounded the bases for his home run. From the earliest days of middle school when the jock/nerd dynamic established itself, those who fell into each category learned their limitations. A guy like this cameraman, who became a cameraman and not a baseball player for a reason, should've known better than to try something that required good coordination, like carrying a camera while running backwards. Check out the video here.
Yardage Lines Headed In Wrong Direction

Groundskeepers in charge of painting the lines at Jacksonville's EverBank Field might have had mild dyslexia. Before a Jaguars/Saints game, they got one side of the field right, but on the other side, they painted the yardage arrows pointing towards the wrong end zone. They're supposed to be pointing towards the closest end zone--in case you weren't aware.

NFL Ref Can't Get Calls Correct
These guys get enough crap for making calls people don't agree with, but you have to at least make those calls with confidence. This ref from last September's Cowboys/Texans game sounds like a third grader giving his first speech.
Overexcited Band Geek Takes Out Cameraman
This sousaphone player from OSU's marching band gets a little too amped, takes a dramatic bow and knocks the camera from the hands of a cameraman who thinks it's a good idea to stand inches away from a guy who's goose stepping towards him with a large metal object.
Cheerleader Hit In Face By Football
We're sure she's a nice girl, but it's hard not to laugh when you watch a bubbly, smiling high-school cheerleader get pegged in the face by a football. She seems to be OK afterward, maybe with a slightly bruised ego. The only bad thing is that now every angry young nerd on the Internet is watching and re-watching this video, celebrating her two minutes of mild embarrassment to make themselves feel better.
