Beef Alert: Hanson Calls Kings of Leon ‘Pricks’

The members of homeschooled Hanson are not afraid to name names when they have a schoolyard beef. WENN recently published an interview with oldest brother Isaac Hanson in which he says, “I have a hard time with musicians who act like pricks because it just makes me mad. If you’re actually making a living doing it, pinch yourself every day, because it goes if you don’t love it and people will eventually get pissed off.”

Hey, he should know, he’s experienced the rise and fall of show business. There is a good chance you caught Hanson playing a chicken shack over the last five years. So, who specifically is harshing on his “MMMBop”?

“The Kings of Leon guys are running some risks,” he says. “They’re irritating people; you can’t do that too much. Eventually the bad-boy image affects fans’ willingness to show up. Their fans will get bummed out.”

He’s referring to the band’s recent drama, where they canceled their U.S. tour after Caleb Followill bizarrely left the stage during a Dallas show. With all the fame, pot smoke and groupies, will the Kings of Leon even realize they’re in a Hanson feud? Both bands are comprised of brothers with Oklahoma roots. You know how serious that area takes their beefing. (Anyone familiar with the Battle of Honey Springs knows what’s up.) This could end up being the Hatfield-McCoy feud of pop rock.
