Much ink has been spilled these last few months over the news that Cheryl Cole had signed on to judge the U.S. reboot of "The X Factor," namely due to her lack of fame in the States. But just as we were starting to get used to the idea of Cole's involvement, Fox has gone and pulled the rug right out from under us. News broke yesterday that Cole has been removed from the judges' panel only a few weeks into auditions. Some reports claimed the switch was due to her thick English accent, while others cite incompatibility issues with fellow panelist Paula Abdul. Whatever the reason, we were crushed.
But then we learned who would be replacing her, and that frown quickly turned upside down. Filling the empty judge's seat will reportedly be Nicole Scherzinger, who was originally hired as one of the show's two co-hosts. The former Pussycat Doll is certainly better known in the U.S. than Cole, and she already has experience as a judge on the British "X Factor" (first filling in for Danni Minogue when she went on maternity leave, and then again, ironically enough, for Cole while she was battling a near-fatal bout of malaria). But the thing that really won us over is the gorgeous Scherzinger herself. Don't believe us? Check out nine reasons why we're OK with the change after the jump.
