The Orioles are undefeated, the Royals lead the AL Central and the Mets have pulled even with the Phillies atop the NL East. But it's only one week into a long baseball season and things change quickly. Or maybe the O's will go 162-0 and meet the Nationals in the World Series and Congress will shut down for the entire month of October to watch (the last part is plausible). But that's unlikely. The standings will shuffle and teams like the defending champion Giants (currently 1-4) and the Red Sox (0-4) will wake from their winter slumber.
But unlike the standings, tattoos are permanent (well, the Pittsburgh Pirates at the bottom of the standings is permanent too). A team tattoo is like the love of a good fan--it never fades, it sticks around through the good times and the bad, and if not treated properly it can lead to infection. Let's get to the photos.
Below are tattoos for every Major League Baseball team (with one minor exception), in order of the standings as of April 6, 2011.
