The long torturous battle is over. This weekend, Driphus Jackson, who was just one of eight wide-eyed quarterbacks when "The Ride" started, will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on the show's finale. Jackson's journey here has been epic. He put up huge numbers during his senior season at Cedar Hill High School in Dallas, throwing for 2,910 yards and 29 touchdowns while adding 625 rushing yards. His skills with both his arm and his legs helped Driphus land a scholarship from Rice University, which he picked over other schools like SMU, Baylor and Boise State. If you watched "The Ride" all season, you know Driphus is going to tear it up at Rice, but let's take a couple minutes to look at the past.
