More than two and a half years later, Kanye West is being sued by a photographer who claims West and his security team roughed him up at a 2008 performance. The assault and battery, claims photographer Michael Vazquez, happened at a restaurant underneath the Queensboro Bridge in Manhattan, proving once and for all that nothing good has ever happened underneath a bridge.
West reportedly earned a cool $1 million for the performance, which was at a party commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Casio G-Shock. (Casio is getting some bonus publicity from this suit, so good for them!) Vazquez, who says he was hired to film and take photos at the show, claims that "the actions by defendants Kanye West's agents, servants and/or employees was committed with malice."
Why is Vazquez only now making hay over the alleged beatdown? Seems a little strange, doesn't it? Maybe he has ulterior motives. Look, we're not saying he's a gold digger, but he ain't suing no broke rapper. You know?
