Fifteen years ago today, when many of us were in elementary school or pimply-faced middle schoolers playing Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo (but never playing outside), PlayStation launched in North America. Cue the "Hallelujah."
Although we were still fond of the old school NES System, it was pretty exciting to grip a controller with some bulk and a lot more freedom. The PS One saw the release of some pretty outstanding games, including "Gran Turismo," "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater," "Crash Bandicoot," "Final Fantasy" and "Grand Theft Auto," among others.
