The 11th Annual Gathering Of The Juggalos Has Gone Mainstream

Start stocking up on Faygo, ninjas, The 11th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos is right around the corner. If you’re asking yourself, what the hell is The Gathering of the Juggalos, how have there been 11 of them and why did you call me a ninja, watch this video to find out.

Or, if you don’t have 17 minutes and 25 seconds, we’ll tell you. The Gathering of the Juggalos is a festival put on by Psychopathic Records, the label owned and operated by the Insane Clown Posse, a “rap” group that dresses up like clowns and obsesses over violence and magnets. Think of The Gathering as Woodstock for people with lots of unfortunate tattoos and serisouly baggy clothes.

But there’s something different about this year’s Gathering. The Juggalos, a rag tag group of kids that’s fervently underground, are going mainstream. Along with the face-painted, hatchet-wielding weirdos who always perform at The Gathering, there will be real-life hip-hop icons Naughty By Nature, Method Man and Slick Rick. And alongside those real-life hip-hop icons will be real-life hip-hop goofballs Vanilla Ice, Tone Loc and Coolio. And topping it all off, demonstrating The Gathering’s most significant attempt to push into the mainstream and attract conservative, middle age audiences: Gallagher will be there. And this is just a guess, but watermelon Faygo will likely be involved.
